IBSL stands for the Institute of British Sign Language. We are an awarding body/organisation recognised by Ofqual (the Office of the Regulator for Qualifications, Examinations and Assessments in England).

We are Deaf-led with a Board of Trustees who are all Deaf and experienced in British Sign Language and Deaf Studies, and are a Community Interest Company registered with Companies House, number 6201561.
