Offering IBSL Qualifications
Any organisation that desires to offer Institute of British Sign Language qualifications must first become a registered Centre. This is a very straightforward process, and we will help you to ensure that the registration process goes smoothly.
If you are new to IBSL, please complete the centre enquiry form with as much information as you can to start the registration process.
- We will then contact you within seven working days to take you through the process, and determine what qualifications you wish to offer.
- All new centre registrations are usually done via email, but If necessary and appropriate, we will arrange for a Qualification consultant to visit your centre to complete the approval process.
- If the process has been straightforward, we will then allocate and send you a Centre number, then you will be ready to complete our qualification approval form detailing the type of qualification your Centre wishes to deliver.
Most of our qualifications require that the person teaching it attends assessor training, and this can be arranged either by having the teacher attend one of our regular training events, or by having a Training Officer attend the Centre.
Once a qualification is advertised and learners enrolled by the Centre, a Learner Registration Form will need to be completed by the Centre. Once received and processed by IBSL, all relevant documentation and materials will be released by IBSL to enable the qualification to be delivered and assessed.
